Our 300-year old manor is beautifully situated on the shores of
the Dalälven in Söderfors. This is one of several old Walloon ironworks towns in
northern Uppland. It is one of Sweden’s biggest historic landmarks and is well
known for its beautiful main street, the impressive double anchor and the Greek
temple in its English park. Söderfors Herrgård is known for its excellent food
and has put a lot of effort into making its guest rooms inviting.
The river is a great place for adventure year round. In summer you can swim or
take boating and fishing trips up towards the big bays of the river. During the
icy months, there’s nothing better than strapping on long-distance skates and
gliding off in the winter sun.
Be enchanted by the deep woods and the historical environment. You can also make
several different day trips on your own or in a group. The short distances make
walking and biking just as ideal as driving. Perfect for guests travelling on
their own by car, motorcycle or bicycle, and for tour groups travelling by
coach.
