Söderfors Älvtransporter with the Ymer – the Söderfors boat

Would you like to take a boat trip along the Dalälven River? The Ymer will take you on a trip around Bramsön island to Gysinge and back, or why not take your colleagues along on a dancing excursion to the beautiful Ön island?

The Ymer is one of the few timber floating boats still in use after forest companies stopped rafting logs down the Dalälven in the 1970s. A trip on the Ymer is a wonderful way to see the area.

You are free to choose which stretch of the river you’d like to go on. Our boat travels the stretch between Söderfors and Gysinge and there are trips that are suitable for both day and evening excursions. All the trips, like “Bramsön runt” (around Bramsö island) and “Dråphällan”, are associated with local history and are filled with stories about work and everyday life along the river banks.
 

The Ymer has a covered aft with space for all passengers. Passengers bring their own food and beverages. Food baskets can be ordered from various places, such as Söderfors Herrgård, with which we have a cooperation arrangement.
