Hörendesjön’s fishery conservation area association is located in the westernmost part of Nedre Dalälven just outside of Västerfärnebo and empties into the Svartån river that runs through the Svartådalen valley. The river is about 6 km2 and is relatively deep, about 31 meters, for its location on the border of an agricultural area. The river holds nearly a dozen different species of fish.
