Hiking

With plenty of fresh air and gorgeous countryside everywhere you look, there are lots of lovely places for hikes in Nedre Dalälven. Untouched and scenic landscapes in places like Färnebofjärden National Park, the island of Granön in Gysinge, Billudden where the Dalälven meets the sea, the Säterdalen ravine system, and the area’s many exciting industrial heritage sites are just a few examples. You can hike in forests and fields, along trails and paths, down gravel roads, or atop ridges looking out over wetlands. Pack a backpack and set out on an exhilarating adventure! There are hiking options for all seasons, and many of the hiking areas can be reached by bus or train.
