Events
Local events are held in Nedre Dalälven all year round. You can enjoy and participate in everything from physical events, such as the Säter Triathlon and SvartaMaran in Svartådalen, to quieter arrangements, such as the Christmas Market in Gysinge and the Day of the Falls in Älvkarleby. For exciting cultural events, check out the annual Avesta Art exhibition, culture evenings in Stjärnsund, numerous art circuits arranged in the area throughout the year, and much more. If you’re interested in local food and drink, you definitely want to visit one of the harvest markets in the autumn or go to one of the beer tastings arranged by the Oppigård Brewery in Hedemora or by the Lövsta Ironworks in Tierp.
