The By Fishery Conservation Area is located in Avesta Municipality near Näs Bruk in southeastern Dalarna near the borders to Västmanland, Gävleborg and Uppsala counties. The water stretches along the Dalälven River downstream from the power station in Näs Bruk to the border for Tyttbo forsfiske. There are also a number of lakes along the river. We offer a natural fishing experience for pikeperch, pike and perch as well as a rich variety of other species. The best seasons for pike are spring and late autumn, summer for perch, and late summer and early autumn for pikeperch. There are brown trout and grayling in the rapids, and our lakes are stocked with rainbow trout and, in the Sävsen and Axen lakes, char. Year-round, family, weekly and daily fishing licenses are available.
